‘PALI Group has the best image’ according to readers of the weekly Boerderij

PALI Group came fifth in the Top 100 of leading agribusiness companies in the Netherlands.

PALI Group came fifth in the Top 100 of leading agribusiness companies in the Netherlands. According to Boerderij what makes the company leading is a combination of seven basic factors:
turnover, innovation, growth, cross sector, image, market and sustainability.
Boerderij’s editors did not work in isolation when determining the method and the ranking, but were helped by the accountants of Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) and a panel of eight experts. The seven basic factors did not all have the same ‘weight’ in determining the ranking. The panel of experts determined the weighting factor for every basic factor and the questions within the basic factor.
The PALI Group scored highest out of all the companies for the factor ‘image’. Boerderij measured this factor online on Boerderij.nl, where thousands of farmers voted. According to Boerderij image consists of sympathy, value for money, expertise/professionalism, service orientation and reliability. The PALI Group's board of directors is extremely honoured by this appreciation and would like to thank all the PALI Group’s staff in particular for their efforts, commitment and professionalism.

During an audit in March 2009, Vitelco proved to meet all the elements of the HACCP inspection carried out by the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (nVWA). HACCP audits are aimed at checking the food safety system companies are obliged to set up and implement. Such as system’s objective is to ensure that the products produced are produced safely. The audit data of HACCP checks on slaughterhouses are public and are published on the nVWA website. The latter does not provide a total judgement about the HACCP system, but shows the system auditors’ findings per question/element: no comment, comment, insufficient or not assessed. Together, the data on a company provides insight into how the latter manages its slaughter process. Elements audited include: general hygiene, structural state and layout, and good hygienic practices. Vitelco is the first slaughterhouse/deboning plant in the Netherlands to meet all the requirements.
